Lights dimmed. Curtains unfurled. Shaking knees.
What are your first stage memories? A slip, miss your call, or in awe of the hall? Swag, strut or a falling gut?
Graciously Yours!

I love the way you wrote this!
To answer, however- My gut didn’t fall, it fell through the stage.

Thank you 🙂
Haha! That is a completely new one 😉 And then what happened, if I may dare to ask?

You may.
I stuttered a lot, my legs were made of marshmallow, however, my team mate spoke really well so we won at the end.

The photo is redundant. Your words alone are illustrative enough. 🙂

Ooooh I know the feeling. . Oh boy clearly remember the first time I participated in a decllamation contest. . I forgot the words and was silent. . Had to almost walk away..when my best teacher came and stood next to me..
And rest was a piece of cake… 🙂

I had to give a speech. And when I walked up to the stage, I was in awe. Everyone was looking up to me and I was silent for a few minutes processing my power that I commanded on the peasants below before I started belting out my speech haha.

Oh! You were strutting and swagging then, I believe! 😉
“commanded on the peasants below”! Awesome 😀

Hahaha I like to believe I did that. I was only in year 3 when I did it and didn’t realize how tiny people would look from up there. I was heaps nervous and even now I am nervous but I love the adrenaline rush.

Oh ya! I can relate to the rush which clears the initial-few-seconds-headiness. 😀

Lovely post and I love when readers interact all too freely 😉 till now I haven’t had much glitches during stage performances and I have had some(double digits) but once I got a dare to sing a song and I sang WHAT HURTS THE MOST and it was all flop because I couldn’t remember the lyrics and all were laughing but some of my friends supported and helped me complete the song 😀 rest all are great 😉

I have always, very deliberately, avoided the stage. Well, at least being on it anyway!

Oh I am sure a lot of people would like to see you on it!
I’d be somewhere in the beginning of the line 😉

… I vomited.
Literally. Worst moment of my life. Haha! This six-word story sums up the whole moment leading up to it.

Oh. My. God. I can imagine how embarrassing that much have been! Mostly because I used to come up with all sort of negative scenarios, at one point in time, before getting on to the stage! Still do, but it’s a lot more controlled! 😉
