I am.

I am so much more than just a broken heart.

I’m the fire that urges you to make something out of your life.

I’m the rage you feel when you see dishonesty.

I’m the pain that stops you from breathing.

I’m fire. I’m rage. I’m pain.

I’m the passion that stirs your sleeping soul.

I’m the love that brings tears to your eyes.

I’m the empathy that makes you reach for your wallet at the roadside.

I’m passion. I’m love. I’m empathy.

I’m the fear that denies you the adventure.

I’m the courage that makes you stand up.

I’m the hurt that makes you stop and think twice.

I’m fear. I’m courage. I’m hurt.

I’m the hope that makes you smile.

I’m the faith that holds you together.

I’m the trust that opens you up.

I’m hope. I’m faith. I’m trust.

I’m so much more than just a broken heart. I’m the truth.

Graciously Yours!

Mistake.

He had no inkling of what he’d done. He’d prised her apart, promising to always guard her, and had at the end, left her open, wounds fresh and bleeding.
She couldn’t see how heavy a burden she was for him, how hard he’d been dragging her before he succumbed to his own magnanimous promises.
She was his best mistake, he, her worst.

Graciously Yours!

His Smile, For Her.

image

HIS SMILE, FOR HER.

The day she saw him,
She knew that smile was for her,
The warmth that touched their hearts,
Brought them closer together.

Those eyes that glittered her way,
Could see her inside out,
His hand that touched hers,
Touched the soul within.

Hands clasped, rushing
Through the surreality,
Like two little kids,
Exploring the world together.

In the gleam of their happiness,
They didn’t see,
The brazen darkness,
Coming their way.

Before she could place herself,
In the safety of his arms,
They drifted apart in silence,
Lost and never to be found.

She didn’t know where to look,
She didn’t know what to do,
She thought he would wait,
Like she had all along.

Times later, she saw the smile again,
Not for her this time around,
She felt empty and blown away,
When those eyes treated her like a stranger.

The winds rose inside her,
Causing her fluttering heart,
To bang hard against her ribs,
Throbbing with pain.

She looked away from those eyes,
Not ready to bear their ignorance,
She told her heart to calm down,
“At least he was smiling, even if not for me.”

Graciously Yours!

IN LOVE… WITH LIFE.

I was in love with life.
Until...

All those small moments shared,

All those little secrets told,

All those great mysteries unfolded,

We were there for one other unrivalled.

Tagging along, always found by my side,

Today, when I turn, I see none beside.

A twinkle here, a smile there,

Would make my day, no matter where.

You were my solace, you were my charm,

You turned out to be the one who caused me harm.

Little did I know, how it would end,

You twirled my life around a hair-pin bend.

You decided to make things bad,

You decided to ignore me,

You thought you could turn the table around,

You thought you were the one who’d survive,

But I am the one who did.

I am glad you were there,

And I am sad you aren’t now.

But one thing is for sure,

I am in love… With life… Again!

Graciously Yours!
